I will begin this post with a personal note.
I was horrified this morning with the message board on the sign. As it turns out it serves as a reminder for the unchurched and unsaved in our community. It is a testimony of it's own. We need to start the revival in our own back yard. The suggestion that we need to pray for these lost souls is profound. God always uses a storm to clean the water.
Bob has asked the Vine to recognize the 5-6 different donations to the food pantry. He was on the verge of closing This pantry and WA La the Holy Spirit shows up. The food will go to the families in our church. This is a wonderful cause. Bob is working hard to provide the necessary items for the pantry. I pray that we all can support this cause.
Keith and Jeri Hurst have asked the Vine to report : They will only be gone for a few weeks. Keith has a replacement for the preaching at Victoria 's Place. They still need help with the crafts and exercising. Contact Angela Hamn or Jeri Hurst . These ladies are working for the Lord to bring joy and fellowship to the residents. A blessing awaits.
Joyce Minter has worked quietly behind the scenes collecting the information for the Members Books. I saw her carrying in two arm loads of books today. These are thankless jobs that someone is doing. There are others look around. See what is happening right under our noses.

Carl and Loretta worked 6 hours on Friday. Various tasks, changing the seat in the sanctuary, moving Bonnie and Georgia's classes and helping to clean out the Media room. That was a task all on it's on. I believe that there were other things I just cannot remember them all.
Another way to Go....
If I could be so bold as to ask: If everyone would try to keep the media room uncluttered. As you can tell it is now being used to the benefit of the Church. The singers are gathering there before the Church service, along with various other activities. I have enjoyed this entry and believe it adds a certain something.
Back to the uncluttered issue: as much as I have enjoyed cleaning up the media room , you know I love to organize, it is not the storage room for unused items. I say that with the best of intentions.
Ignore this last statement if it does not apply to you.
The musician will now be practicing on Tuesday night along with Wednesdays. I have learned they will be learning new music. Being members of the praise band has it's true rewards, along with the sacrifices of practice. We need to pray for each member of the praise band, sound mixers and computer personal. These are tedious jobs and no way around the long practice hours. Hats off to them and of course to David. They do worship to glorify God, and it shows.
The All Sing Concert is steadily sneaking up on us. Practice for the concert is going on along the side with praise and worship practice.The walls are alive with the sound of music. I was told that the children's church will perform, cool. I truly Pray that everyone will attend this August 31 st 2008. That is a Sunday The time is _____. Do not know for sure, I will get back to you on that. We defiantly need to suit up and show up. This is a perfect opportunity to witness to the community : Our comment to our Church and to the Ferment of The Great Commission. We are a new light bulb in the lamp for Christ. Let us gather and shine. Contact David or myself if you would like to perform or know of someone who would like to perform.
CC notifies the Vine: Contact Bob if you are intent to have any meetings, gatherings or parties. Our church is busy. The school will start in a week or so. We have weddings booked. With the Sunday Night Class, Friday Night Class, Tuesday night practice, Wednesday night Prayer and Bible study and the New additions of Cell groups, (in the future) well you can see the need to contact Bob. Besides, he loves to hear from you. You know he does....
CC and David are still seeking volunteers to man the new and up coming 2 years through 4 year old class. Linda Lawrence has a curriculum. If we get 8 couples, that would require only 1 Sunday every 2 month. There will be a volunteer with the 2 leaders. We need this folks. Everyone wants to split this age group from the nursery. Can we count on you? Call The Office and Volunteer.
Gateway is seeking a paid nursery worker. La Donna and Dee are doing a great job. One more would make it even better. Contact David: at the office.

I have tried to post this video on to the blog before. I am praying this has worked. I have been able to move other videos , but this one has proven to be more difficult.
