There is allot to cover, the week that has gone by and the week to come.
The Vine has allot to say and will get right to it.
It has been an amazing couple of weeks at GATEWAY COMMUNITY CHURCH.
We had 5 young children give their lives to Christ and Be Baptised. This was a wonderful sight to see .Children are the future of the Church. A young Mother baptising her daughter and her best friend. How special will will this memory be. One of the Children's Minsters baptising her students and a Grandfather with his grandson. These are events that will last a lifetime. 5 more souls that will bring how many to Christ through their testimonies.
Gateway is one week closer to the beginning of the Sunshine Kids Classes. These classes will be for the 2, 3, and 4 year age groups,This is an exciting time not only for the children,but for the entire church. The volunteers will have a brief meeting Wed the 24th at 7.00 pm. This will be to touch base about the material for the class. The plan for now is to learn 2 Bible verses and 2 songs in 8 weeks. Please begin to pray now for us all. Not many of us have ever taught children, but we have the enthusiasm to carry this plan to full term. I know with God's guidance everything will turn out fantastic. There will also be a 10 to 15 minute craft and a light snack.
It sound's like real fun. There are still opportunities for you to become a volunteer. As it stands now, one set of teachers will volunteer once every 8 weeks. If we all work together the this class will be a smashing success.
Step out and see what happens.
Friday night is the MOVIE FIREPROOF in Ft. Worth.
The movie Fireproof starts promptly at 7.00 pm.
The manager suggests that 6.15 to 6.30 is an excellent time to arrive for the best seats. They (the movie) have stared a push for the advertising and it looks like there is going to be a big turn out for this movie.
We as a christian family have to support these types of movies.
A movie that supports christian views and content is a good thing and a rare thing.
We can send a message to the movie industry that more of these types are needed and will be supported.
Kirk Cameron has been a great model for what is right in the movie business.

Saturday, Monty will be putting up the tent. Any one interested in helping can contact him 817-559-4454. Josh is gone to the deer lease and will not be here to help. or should I say put up the tent. The tent will be used for Sunday celebration of CC and Georgia's anniversary

Yes THEY have been AT GATEWAY for ____years. Seams like only yesterday. I hope someone brings BLUE BELL.
The Gospel band will be traveling to Wichita Falls Saturday . The Vine has been told they will meet at the church 12.00 o'clock high noon to convoy. They will representing GATEWAY at this rival. Please pray for safe travel . The group will sing and play for the delight of the Lord. They will lead at least one person to Christ.

Speaking of Sunday. Alan Ashbury and the Brooks Brothers will be here to Sing to the joy of the LORD. We are all so Blessed to have the Concert happening. There will be little room and once again come early for a gooooood seat. Sunday we will be rocking the foundation . I love to rock the foundation. It has been advertised in the Hood Co. News paper and is being talked about all over town. So come early and bring your desire to worship and hear a fantastic message. CC has a wonderful vision for the church and a special way of interrupting that vision. The Holy Spirit is alive and flushing at GATEWAY CHURCH. Come and be a part of this wonderful day.
Worship begins at 10.45 . Dinner will be served after Church.
That is always a treat, eating food prepared by Gateways great Cooks.
There will be another chance to hear the guest singer at 2.00 pm.
HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD.
This past weekend a group of ladies went to San Antonia for a ladies conference. Betty Davidson, Angela Hamn, Loretta Ansley, Linda Harvey, Dixie McGuffin and Connie Stone attended. It was fantastic. The Kings Daughter, Becoming a Woman of God: This is the name of the conference.
The music was second only to the music of GATEWAY CHURCH.
We were among 1200 women from 42 states and 9 different countries. There was some true estrogen in the room and the ladies Rocked.
The diversity of women wanting and receiving the same thing: More of God, was something to be apart of. Visit with any of the ladies to get a first hand account of the events. They will be eager to share there experiences with .
Blessings were abundant.Praise God Amen
