Change?

We have all heard a lot about change.

Change the direction of the country. We need change. Well they were right, although I believe that we have done this long ago. What was once the norm is now far left.
Conservatives seam to be portrayed as wacko, abortion bombing , gun toting, gay hating, ,
bible thumping, drill here drill now crazies.

I have been reading about how the new President will change this, change that. Not all change will good. Some may realize that the change they voted for, the change is a coming.
More often than originally thought, change may not be full of splendor.
But never the less there will always be change.

I love that my God never changes.
God is always there, he has always had a plan with my best intentions at the center of that plan. My God may never change, but he does require that I change.
He wants me to conform to his will, which is in direct conflict with the world.
By Grace God grants me the opportunity to be saved though change, a do over if you will. Second, third or more chances. The world does not really change. The lack of abiding by God's window of change is what brought the fall of man, the flood and what comes next.
I will turn or I will burn. (or so I have been told).
I believed it.
I changed, the Holy Spirit got a hold of me and I did not turn loose.
These changes are not ever easy. As I grow in my Christianity and contuine to change,
I had to leave some things behind. Some examples would be my pride. I thought that I must be proud of myself, but I was wrong.
God must be proud of me.
My attitude, I could do it myself,.
I could not do any thing without God.
Oh how I floundered , until I laid down that pride, attitude and spirit of independence.
I left behind relationships, some I held dear.
Life fought friends.
They did not understand my change and could not accept what God wanted from me.
They themselves could not change and some have not to this day.
If my boat is sinking, do I just sit there?
If they tell me the sky is falling, why would I look up?
When my Mother said "Don't touch that it is hot" why did I reach out and touch it.
Then cry and beg for help and then mercy.
Change can be a good thing.
I just need to believe that God has me firmly in his hand and no matter which way the wind may blows God will guide my change.

I read this quote. I do not know the author.
Change has considerable psychological impact in our lives.
To the fearful it is threatening. It means things may get worse.
To the hopeful it is encouraging. It means things may get better.
To the confident it is inspiring, because the challenge exists to make things better.
God always makes things better.

My prayer is:
Not be fearful, the world will get worse.
But my God is there.
To be hopeful, the world will get better.
When Christ comes for his church.
To always be confident and inspire with the Love of my Christ.
The challenge will be how to contain my blessings, because
MY CUP WILL RUNITH OVER.
Those of the world will never change.
I will - I Did
I will not conform to the world .
I will live a transformed life with
God as the President , the CEO, the KING OF ALL KINGS
AMEN AMEN

The Vine welcomes you to CONNECT-THE VINE.

This is a blog for information bout the comings and goings on at

GATEWAY COMMUNITY CHURCH.

The past few weeks have been some kind of busy. Let's talk about what has been happening!!!

Georgia, Carl, Loretta and Connie transformed the Nursery into a warm and cozy place for the children to be. The warm color on the wall is inviting. Those dark drab cabinets painted mascara red. Well let's just say it looks great. Bev our wonderful nursery leader LOVES IT. Even the little ones walked in and looked around Something was a new.

Georgia has worked very hard on the landscaping. The front of the church looks great. Georgia has planted new plants and put down a layer of fresh bark. Not to avoid the pumpkins in the patch. A big Thank You goes out to her. Her work is good.

Our traveler came home safe and sound. They all had a great time. Two weeks sailing up the coast to Canada. Well who would not like that. ( ) fill in the blanks. Joyce told The Vine that it was all top notch. The view was fantastic and the food was great,. Fellowship with other Christians is always a good thing. Gateway is so glad you all had a great time, but very grateful you are home.

Welcome Home

Joanne has the drama team in full swing. The entire cast is working very hard to put on the best performance for God they can. The Vine must say we have real actors in our presence. The cast is practicing twice a week Sundays and Fridays. There is a lot to do and amazingly this small cast is performing like pros. Not to be forgotten are the behind the scene worker bees. Without these people there would be no Show. The drama is slated for December. Check back in with The Vine for the exact dates and times.

David and the Christmas Choir Christmas Bunny:10032 are practicing also. The Vine heard their voices singing and could not believe how beautiful they sounded. The arrangements for the songs are wonderful. A Lot of people are singing for the GLORY of the LORD. Oh how God loves to hear our voices. David still has room for a more. If you are not apart of our church you can still sing to the Lord. The choir is to preform on several occasions so stay tuned for more info.

BLESS as Nancy says.

The Second Saturday Servers have been at it again. The grounds look G R E A T . Mowing, hauling, toting, and talking about: Well who really knows what they are talking about. Goats, cows, trucks and well the list could go on. Monty and Terry had discovered a leak in the Baptistery. They spent several hours cleaning up under the stage. It was flooded with water. A lot of the cords and such were standing in water. They thought they had it fixed, but oh no it wasn't so. This past Sat. Dan ,Gerald and Terry descended up on that leak. They had to replace the drain, all with a good out come. Carl has cleaned the cross above the front door, but we need some thing taller to get to the top of the arch. He removed dirt and cleaned the windows . W A Y U P there. The Vine would like to Thank all interested parties.

Todd and Carl have been busssssy. Todd has added lights to the cross on the building. How does one discribe what a beautiful sight it is. If you have not seen it ,well that means you need to drive up at dark and see for your self. Or maybe come to Sunday night Bible Class or Wednesday night prayer service or Friday night Healing prayer services. There are plenty of chances for you to see the Cross at night. Gateway has something for everyone.

The puppet ministry is collecting food for their outreach. There are 2 more weeks before it is in full swing. They have placed a box in the entry way of the Church for your donations. The kids will be taking food along with gently used coats and sweater for all ages. They will be distributing these LOVE offering to a coummunity here in Granbury. All donations are welcome---MONEY____ FOOD____ CLOTHING Get up and Get involved

The Fall festivalWaving pumpkin:9170 was a great success. A great time was had by all. The adults were having as much or more fun than the kids. Noah and his wife were the stars. The living animals were great. All the kids loved it. Georgia had a apple bobbing contest that Noah and Noah's wife's horse were in on the core of that contest. ( get it ) A Honorable mention was Anita or should I say Sarah. When she came shuffling up with that pillow stuffing. Well might I add how clever. Chuck you are a truly blessed man. She s in her 90's and sharp as a tack. We have a lot to grow on. Gateway knows now if you build it they will COME. Hat's off to all the folks that made the Fall Festival a great great offering to GOD. The Vine can hardly wait until next year.

The Christmas lights Rudolf The Reindeer:11165 will be going up soon. The estimated cost will be around 900.00 for new lights. Todd and Bob are ready to go as soon as they can. Contact Bob at the office 817-579-0509 and let him know what you can do to help. Not only with a love offering but to help with labor of installation. The property looked like HEAVEN last year. It shown like a beacon to say Jesus is the Light and the way. That is our mission CHURCH is to show the way to thoses that need the lamp. Christ is coming and we will have to explain ourselves. Tell everybody you see Jesus is alive and wants a relationship with you.

Show them the way.

Last but certanily not the least, CHURCH ALL SING November 30th 7.00 pm. Gateway Community Church is setting up for another All Sing. 1. Hi Connie. Great blog! I, too, keep asking God to change me. Sometimes His change is in gently inviting me, sometimes it is in painful honing. I welcome it all!

CC's message was great yesterday. My eyes were opened to the fact that I have been trying to fight battles that are not mine to fight. My part in it is to stay with Jesus. He will fight the battles. I need not be afraid. How liberating! Now I see more change coming to my heart and mind.

    Thanks for the vine. Shirley
