As all how were at the Christmas concert knows that it was a joyful joyful occasion. This is photo of the entire choir.
The children started out the evening . I might add that they were superb. It would be hard to single out one to brag about. Really. I will not go on and on about how beautiful they all looked or how sweet they sounded. I am positive that Jesus was smiling and clapping his hands. These kiddos and (Linda) worked so hard and it looked effortless. Way to go.
Hats off to the Childrens Choir and their director.
Now moving on to the adult choir, that I might add the children sang with. The Ladies and Gentlemen sang to the pure joy of God, the Father ,The Son and The Holy Spirit.
I may say with complete confidence that the Holy Spirit was looming in the room and Made His Presence Known.
Rosemary not only stepped in for David, but she stepped up. As a director she is wonderful. A very talented lady. Gateway is very blessed indeed to have her involved with the music department. The choir and congregation took a love offering for her and she was very moved. I pray that each and every person will thank her and Linda (Joe) for all their hard work and most of all the love labor.
Monty directed the music on Sunday and as his wife I was so very proud. The arragements for the service diverse and flowed very well. Spotlighting some of the extreemly talented members of our praise and worship team. Rhajenna and Randa sang solos, which were beautiful and had every person in the sanctuary worshiping God. The service opened with Holy Spirit Come and that he did. Monty with the aid of Danny wrote that song and if you have not heard it, ask them to sing the song for you. Awake my soul was another song that was chosen and what a song it is. Our music is some of the best in Hood County, what am I saying some of the best anywhere.
The Vine pray for everyone that you would come and experience the Spirit of Gateway. If you are not coming on a regular basis, step out and get involved. You will feel better all around if you start to serve and see the growth that is happening. If you are attending regular, what blessings you have seen happening in our Church. There are so many talented, loving and giving members. Who tell me who would not want to be apart of that.
There are lots of way to goes:
Let's see.
Starting with the lights. The Christmas lights Carl , Bob and Todd started this season out. We will add Gerald to the mix now. It was extremely cold out today and Gerald , Todd and Carl were out checking out the lights to make sure all the bulbs were a glow. To night was the judging. It was so very cold and there they were wrapped up like Eskimos. Endearing to see the love for the church trying to keep them warm.
A little prayer note. Nancy Solomon fell helping with installing the lights and hurt her wrist. The doctors say there may be a break, it is not for sure yet. She was at the concert Sunday night with the splint on and it looked like it hurt. Get better soon Nancy. Bless, I miss that do you?
Next: Joanne King and her entire cast of wonderful dedicated member of the drama team. The drama was a giant success. Betty Davidson, as The Vine understands was one of the best stage managers ever. Sherry and Judy supplied the best props and lighting. The Vine can hardly wait until Easter for the conclusion of this very well written and acted drama.
Stay tuned.
Next: Georgia, Loretta and Carl for Putting up our beautiful Christmas tree. The tree was donated by the Abbotts last year. The Vine had forgotten how spectacular the tree is. Everyone did a great job. It was cold that day also. The sanctuary looks like it is all about
Christ---mas.

Let The Vine Know: Any of the Various Ways
Now on to news in the Gateway:
The puppet ministry will be going on Sat. to Brazos River acres. They will be taking food, clothing, blankets and gifts with them. Wow would you like to come. Contact Linda Lawrence, Joyce Minter or Tamtha Hurst. Check with the office 817-579-0509 for their contact numbers. Alot has been collected and The Vine is unclear about what they need. Preteen and teen gifts are believed to be the items need along with baby food and diapers. Big lots has diaper for $3.99 . Mendy says size 4 is a good size to get. She should know 3 children 1 still in diapers. She says other than Sam's, Big Lots has the diaper deals going on,
Carl, Loretta and Connie are working on a project in the office. This project is to make some ever needed work space in the copier area. Counter top area to spread out papers. More space is need but for now it is gonna be great. It will also look a ton better.
That is a lot.
