"Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that
God's Spirit lives in you?"
1 Corinthians 3:16 (NIV)
Friend To Friend
I'm not _____________ enough. You can fill that blank in with smart, talented, gifted, spiritual, or any number of positive attributes, but the root source of each one of those lies is "I'm not good enough."
It is one of the enemy's favorite weapons and he uses it to keep God's children in bondage to feelings of inferiority, insecurity, and inadequacy. The bottom line is that the enemy wants you to believe that you are "not enough." Period.
But you are enough. You are enough and have been equipped and empowered to do everything that God has called you to do.
A brilliant saying and may become my favorite saying
"God does not call the equipped , He equips the called".
If you are his; you are called.
Not because of who you are or what you can do, but because of what
God can and will do his work through you.
It seems the message of "I'm not good enough to earn my way to heaven on my own," has been transformed into I'm not good enough ... period. God created man and woman and said, "It is good." We are so valuable to God that He gave His only Son to restore our brokenness.
To be honest, I could have been the poster child for this lie. If feeling inadequate was an Olympic event, I would have been on the Wheaties box. It was the undercurrent of my entire existence until I finally realized who I was in Christ.
Bible teacher Beth Moore said,
"In the dead of the night when insecurities crawl on us like fleas, all of us have terrifying bouts of insecurity and panics of insignificance.
Our human natures pitifully falls to the temptation to pull out the tape measure and gauge ourselves against people who seem more gifted and anointed by God."
That was me living in silent defeat, comparing myself to others, who are living in secret defeat. I'm not a good mother. I'm not a good wife. I'm not a good Christian. I'm not a good witness. I'm not a good .... Fill in the __________
Women and men are caught in a cycle of the "I'm not good enough's."
Unfortunately, I wasted many precious years held captive by the enemy's lies before I held up my chained hands to God and said,
"I'm ready for you to set me free."
Consider this: Jacob was a liar. Moses was a stutterer. Gideon was a coward. David was an adulterer. Rahab was a prostitute. Esther was an orphan. Balaam's donkey was ...well, a donkey. Yet God used each one of them to impact His kingdom. God doesn't call us because we are particularly gifted or talented. He uses us because we are obedient and dependent on Him. He doesn't call the qualified -- He qualifies the called.
The truth is, if you have experienced new birth in Christ, when God looks at you, He sees Jesus. And friend, Jesus is good enough.
Let's Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You today. Because of Jesus Christ and His work of redemption in me, I am deeply loved, completely forgiven, fully pleasing and totally accepted by You. Because of Jesus Christ in me, I am equipped and empowered to do all that You have called me to do.
Now, LORD, help me act like it.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
What did you put in that blank?
Is that the truth?
What do you think God would say to you about what you have written in that blank?
Well let's get to what has been going on at

Gateway will have two services on Easter Sunday. Times will be 8.15am and 10.40am. The times have been presented for approval and the newsletter will have the definite times. There will be no Sunday School on Easter Sunday. The Vine has no information on Children's Church. As soon as we are informed we will pass it on.

The Vine understands.

Nat's have plagued the worhip center for the last few weeks. The Spanish moss on the plants seem to be the problem. The problem has been taken care of.
Other than a few strays most have gone to nat heaven.

Sunday Worship service was a Holy Spirit filled service. The worship team was shinning for the Glory of God and inspiring.
CC's message was a true gift from God.
We had the privilege of partaking in the Lord's supper.
God has blessed us with anointed leadership.
We are one body, one church, under ONE KING.
Our King is
JESUS
The baptism has a new pump. The old one bit the dust. The church purchased a new one from Jeff ,he makes pumps for Mark's Pool Supply. They were so very nice about the entire thing.
ON Thursday morning he dropped what he was doing to get this pump ready to go. We had to have going for the baptism's Sunday. Jeff said "well we have to get these kid's baptised"
Monty worked though out Gospel pratice and installed the pump.
Todd had already taken the old one off.
God put it all together and worked out it did.
A big thanks to many on this project.
Lend A Hand Bring A Can
The Gateway Food Bank is still accepting now perishable food items. Can meat, diapers, personal items are always a good thing to include. Paper products and trash bags along with baggies of all sizes are always needed.

The support of the community is the only monetary income they have.

The Vine has been informed that the puppet Ministry will be performing at the
Juvenile Detention Center Friday.
This ministry is going all out to win people to the Lord.
What a witness.
Bob rescued a dog off the rood of our church Friday. She was tired, scared, freaked out and in need of a home. Well she is laying on the bed chewing on one of her many toys. I had considered getting a dog. I wanted a white dog with perky ears and; did not shed (much). So she is black , her ears one does not stand up and she sheds Be very aware of what you want. She took my heart. She looked so In Need of some one to care. Well she also chews(shoes). The vet says the chewing is out of anxiety and renforce with positive reactions. Pray that I do not run out of shoes before she gets over her neglect. Oh yeah , she got one of Monty's shoes last night. He thought it was kinda funny until last night.
OKEY DOKEY THEN

Most of all the commnittees met and gave theri reports at the business meeting. The meeting was a good one. This was the 3rd business meeting I have attended at Gateway. Th e budget was passed. We were told that next years budget would be in place by November or December. That will be great. Eddie Carroll lead the meeting with the help of Margie Solomon. Margie did ask to retire as the person who takes the minutes. She has been a faithfull servant and we hate to see her go. Persons interested in doing this job could call the office 817-579-0509 for the next step.
