The Vine received this is email from Jean Strandridge.
It is a good one.
We live in a world today, which tries to say too much with too
little. Consequently, few listen.
little. Consequently, few listen.
Sometimes the best sermons are the ones left unspoken.
The Lord is my Shepherd ----- that's a Relationship!
I shall not want ----- that's Supply!
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures ----that's Rest!
The Lord is my Shepherd ----- that's a Relationship!
I shall not want ----- that's Supply!
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures ----that's Rest!
He leadeth me beside the still waters -----that's Refreshment!
He restoreth my soul ----- that's Healing!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness --that's Guidance !
For His name sake ----- that's Purpose!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death--that's Testing!
I will fear no evil ----- that's Protection!
For Thou art with me ----- that's Faithfulness!
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me -----that's Discipline!
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine
enemies------that's Hope!
Thou annointest my head with oil ----- that's Consecration!
My cup runneth over ----- that's Abundance!
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my
life----that's Blessing!
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord -----that's Security!
Forever ----- that's Eternity!
Face it, God is crazy about you !
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my
life----that's Blessing!
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord -----that's Security!
Forever ----- that's Eternity!
Face it, God is crazy about you !
News from the Information Partners
There were 14 women at the Paluxy Association’s Annual Women’s Prayer and Renewal Retreat last Friday night at Southside Baptist. The theme of the Retreat was “Unfailing Love”, “May Your unfailing love be my comfort, according to Your promise to Your servant.” Psalm 119:76. We had a very inspiring praise and worship/ Bible Study leader, Teresa Harmening, who plays the piano by ear and writes music using the Scripture for the words . She inspired us to learn scripture by putting music to it. The music and God’s Word get to the very depths of our heart and soul. On Saturday there were 3 break-out sessions we could attend. One was “A New You – Beauty from the Inside Out” and “How Your Personality Can Reflect God’s Unfailing Love” and “Sharing God’s Unfailing Love.” There were 8 women that thought it was too far to go home and go back to the church early Saturday morning so they stayed at the Hilton Inn. We had a lot of fun and little sleep.
Next year in January make your plans to attend
.
