A great night was had by all. I speak in reference to the Sunday Church All Sing.
It was emotional , David directing the Choir and the Praise Team for the last time. It was wonderful and hearts breaking all at once.
A added extra was to see and hear Raines, my granddaughter starting off the concert.

A proud Gran Gran to say the least. As I watched her I saw many possibilities. Not just her being the next superstar for Christ, but my heart was lifted up.
I was not as sad as I had started out the evening.
I watched her mom and tears welled up in my eyes. Mendy was so proud, I was proud, I turned and looked at Monty (PaPa) and he, well he was proud too. Mendy's mother, grandmother and grandfather were there also . That means there were 3 generations watching the next generation praise God.
How the heaven's must have been smiling.

The week has been all a big blur, but I know something went on, oh yeah it was Thanksgiving and I ate too much. I am paying the price now.

Well eating that much gravy, cranberry, cake, dressing ,turkey and you know pie, might have been over the top, but I love pie.

Someday I will sing it for you. I sang tit for David once, do you think that is why he left. NOOOOOOO, surely not.

There are tremendous amounts of blessing to be thankful for.
If we slow down enough to to think on them , our lists would take several pages.
Write your blessings down and mediate on it, it can be life changing.
I am working on mine. I want to walk in my blessings, I want to give God his Glory,
it is relieving and invigorating.

The Vine has inside information that the Christmas Drama is going to knock your socks off. The cast has been working extremely long hours to refine each detail. Hat's off to each cast member and to Joanne and her family. There has been a big sacrifice on all their parts. It is up to the entire church body to invite everyone we know to see this drama. Joanne has invitations printed and ready to pass around. You can get a stack of the cards from the office or Joanne.

Bob, Carl and Todd did a great job, Lighting up the Church. The northern blew in and they all worked right through. Bob and Marsha are putting up a tree in the office, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. The Vine also knows that there were some really tired and sore legs from crawling up and down the ladders. A big way to go for lighting up the Church.

Gateway is now recycling paper. You have probably noticed that there are 2 big (new) containers at the end of the parking lot. Theses are for your paper products. There is a list at the church that instructs us on what kind of paper to include. The Church will benefit with a cash reward. Over 3,99 tons the price goes up per ton. It does not sound like a lot of money, although it will add up to more than you think. The more people GET INVOLVED the better it will be. Things like this need your help. Not someone elses help. Your Help Is Needed..

The puppet team is making a difference in our community. Taking the message of Christ to the poor, hungry and those that need clothes. Well this is the mission we all need to help fund. Talk to you neighbor's, co-workers, life-groups to support this cause. Get together as a group or individuals, put food in a box add a blanket or two, a package of diapers and a present for a boy and a present for a girl and bring them to the church for your (GATEWAY) CHILDREN'S MINISTRY to distribute on the 20th of Dec.

There is enough of a need , we each can do this several times over again. Big-Lots and Family dollar Stores have several 10 to 20 dollar gifts that are very nice. Add some personal items like gloves, under shirts, socks and toothbrushes. A combaniation of these items wrapped and marked with the appropriate information will make a huge difference in many childrens lives..
